IBO Player is the only application CanadaStream officially supports. The setup is identical across every device — Samsung Smart TV, LG webOS, Firestick, Android TV Box, MAG, iOS or Android. The whole process takes under 10 minutes.
What you need before starting:
Smart TV: Open the app store on your TV (Samsung Galaxy Store, LG Content Store, Sony Google Play). Search "IBO Player" or "IBO Player Pro" and install it.
Firestick / Android Box: Sideload IBO Player using the Downloader app — code 566846 on Firestick or directly from the Play Store on Android TV.
iPhone / iPad: Download "IBO Pro Player" from the App Store.
The first time you launch IBO Player, the welcome screen displays two unique values:

If you already placed an order, reply to the confirmation email with both values. If you're still on the trial, message us on WhatsApp at +1 (514) 447-7860 and paste them in the chat.
Our team uploads your playlist directly to the IBO Player cloud — there's nothing else you need to type into the app.
Within 10 minutes you'll receive a confirmation message that your CanadaStream playlist is paired with your device. During Quebec business hours (9 AM–11 PM EST) activations typically complete in under 3 minutes.
Close IBO Player completely (force-quit on Smart TV / swipe up on iOS) and reopen it. Your full CanadaStream library will appear: Live TV, Movies, Series, Catchup TV and Settings.
From the Settings menu inside IBO Player, toggle "EPG" on. The 7-day electronic program guide for all Canadian, Quebec and US channels populates automatically within 60 seconds.
If IBO Player isn't visible in your TV's app store, switch the region to USA or Canada in TV settings. Then sign out and back in — IBO Player will appear.
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources under Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Then use the Downloader app with code 566846.
Search "IBO Player" on the Google Play Store and install. On Formuler Z11, the app installs straight from the bundled marketplace.
MAG users do not need IBO Player. Send us your MAG MAC address and we'll configure your portal directly. You'll be live within minutes.
"IBO Pro Player" is a one-time $5.99 USD purchase on the App Store, after which everything works exactly the same.
Install Android Studio's emulator (or BlueStacks) and side-load IBO Player. Or use VLC with an M3U link we can provide on request.
Restart your router, then force-quit and reopen IBO Player. If the problem persists, disable any VPN — CanadaStream uses geo-restricted edge servers and VPNs block the licensed CDN path.
Switch from Wi-Fi to wired Ethernet whenever possible. Inside IBO Player Settings, set the buffer cache to "Large" and the player engine to "Native". 99% of buffering complaints disappear with these two changes.
Wait 60 seconds after first launch. If still empty, enable "Reload EPG" in Settings → EPG and force-restart the app.
