CanadaStream respects intellectual property rights and complies with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) for content directed at US viewers, the Canadian Copyright Act for Canadian content, and equivalent regimes worldwide.

1. Our Position

CanadaStream operates as a platform that aggregates third-party content feeds. We do not own, host, or originate any of the television programs, movies, or sporting events delivered through the Service. All content is sourced from third-party providers who claim to hold the necessary distribution rights.

2. Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe content delivered through CanadaStream infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or an authorized representative).
  • Identification of the specific copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing — including the specific channel name, program title, date and time of broadcast.
  • Your contact information: name, address, telephone, email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

4. Our Response

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  1. Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours.
  2. Forward the notice to the upstream content provider for the channel or program in question.
  3. Disable access to the specific stream pending the provider's response.
  4. Document the takedown in our compliance log.

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with the same agent. Your counter-notification must include the original removed content's location, your contact info, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.

6. Repeat Infringers

CanadaStream maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of subscribers, resellers, or providers who are repeat infringers.

7. Misuse

Filing a false or fraudulent DMCA notice may result in liability for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. We may report abusive notices to legal authorities.

8. Canadian Notice-and-Notice Regime
